This natural orange wine from Georgia's Kakheti region is crafted from Rkatsiteli and Kisi grapes, with an alcohol percentage of 13%. Grown under organic farming practices and vegan-friendly viticulture, the vines thrive in the unique climate influenced by the nearby Caucasus Mountains, which provide dry harvest conditions with mild days and cold nights, ideal for avoiding rot. The Rkatsiteli vines, 25 years old, are rooted in deep blue slate soil, adding a distinctive terroir character, while the Kisi grapes come from a younger vineyard with limestone and a cooler microclimate. The wine is partially fermented and matured in Qvevri amphora, with a portion aged in barrique, and the Kisi is fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The result is an orange wine with a jam-like color, offering aromas of dried apricots, honey, orange peel, and light herbal notes. On the palate, it reveals enchanting flavors of dried apricot, honey, orange peel, mountain herbs, and subtle tannins, delivering captivating complexity and texture.
